Global Senior Product Manager - Engineered Products
Are you a Senior Product Manager with experience owning and developing physical, engineered products within industrial or manufacturing environments?
This Senior Product Manager opportunity is specifically focused on mechanical and electro-mechanical product portfolios. It will not suit candidates from SaaS, digital, software, AI, fintech, or service-led product environments.
This is a high-impact, commercially accountable role within a global engineering and manufacturing business, where you will take ownership of a flagship product line and drive its strategy, performance, and long-term growth in-market.
You will own a c. £65m global product portfolio, operating within a safety-critical, technically complex environment where reliability, compliance, and performance are essential.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial strategy, and market engagement. You will not only lead product development and NPI, but also act as the commercial and strategic owner of the product line, ensuring it delivers value to customers and the business globally.
As Senior Product Manager, you will take full accountability for the product lifecycle and in-market performance, from concept and development through to commercialisation, optimisation, and long-term portfolio evolution. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, NPD, manufacturing, and sales teams, while also engaging externally with customers and markets to shape product direction and drive competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities Own the full product lifecycle from concept, engineering development, and manufacture through to launch, optimisation, and phase-out Define and deliver the global product strategy, roadmap, and innovation pipeline Take full accountability for product performance, including revenue growth, margin optimisation, and lifecycle profitability Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) through structured stage-gate processes Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and industrialise products Translate customer and market requirements into product strategy and technical specifications Engage directly with customers, distributors, and sales teams to shape product direction and identify opportunities Drive competitive positioning and technical differentiation within industrial markets Develop business cases, value propositions, and investment justifications Align product strategy across global regions and markets Influence stakeholders across a complex, matrix organisation Requirements for Senior Produdct Manager Role Degree in Engineering Discipline Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager or Product Manager within engineering or manufacturing environments Experience owning and managing physical engineered products (mechanical or electro-mechanical) Strong experience in product lifecycle management, including NPI and manufacturing integration Demonstrated ability to own products in-market, not just development or delivery Strong commercial acumen, including revenue, margin, and business case ownership Experience engaging with customers, sales teams, and market stakeholders Experience operating across global or multi-region markets Strong understanding of how products are designed, engineered, manufactured, and commercialised Applications from candidates whose experience is primarily in software, SaaS, digital platforms, AI, fintech, or app-based products will not be suitable for this role.
