Senior Product Manager – Network Optimisation

About the Role

Working as a Senior Product Manager within our Network optimisation team, you will own the roadmap for products that bridge two key horizons—the operational tools used daily to configure and manage our fulfilment points and their capacities, alongside a set of decision support tools utilised to make strategic decisions about medium and long-term network configurations.

This exciting role positions you at the heart of decisions about what we can fulfil, from where. You'll work closely with data scientists and engineers to build the tools that define Tesco, directly impacting critical business metrics like carbon emissions and transportation costs.

This is a 14-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) covering maternity leave.

Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Identify opportunities through collaborative continuous discovery
  • Evolve and drive the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap
  • Proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of the product, aligning with the wider business strategy
  • Understand key user personas, customers, and stakeholders, their pain points, and their needs

Performance & Delivery

  • Account for product performance/adoption and align work with Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Prioritise work and resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders decisively
  • Document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Break down complex work into smaller, deliverable increments of value with agile teams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
