The EU frequently sets the tone for regulation and compliance for the rest of the world, and new requirements in the worldwide regulatory landscape have accelerated.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager -Technical to join the new EU Books Compliance team. In this role you will invent solutions for Books customers based on dynamic regulatory environment.
We are facing a highly complex and growing number of new and emerging regulations impacting Books including EU Withdrawal directive, UK Online Safety Act, European Accessibility Act and the EU AI Act, with more on the horizon. This role will enable us to define product requirements and technical implications early so that we can engage with Tech teams both within Books and across EU Stores and build components of scalable solutions applicable across different regulatory use cases.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and drive product strategy in alignment with the broader (Books) Compliance vision Define product requirements for some of the Books regulatory projects surfacing debates on timelines, cost, re-usability of components Influence the tech design in partnership with engineering making sure technology choices are aligned to customer needs and regulatory requirements Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to launch, performance, and features Gain support for your product strategy and roadmap from stakeholders through writing narratives and influencing central teams Understand dependencies across central and Books teams Create product success goals and related metrics including experiment/weblab success metrics Monitor and analyze developing sustainability regulatory trends and use insights to influence forward looking strategy Stay flexible when changes to initial scope or regulation come along, compliance is an ambiguous space

Basic Qualifications
Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience with end to end product delivery Experience directly working with engineering teams Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight Bachelor's degree
