Senior Technical Product Owner – Order Management Systems (Retail)

Location: Hertford

About Enactor

Enactor is a cloud-based unified commerce platform built for retailers, delivering next-generation Point of Sale (POS) and Order Management solutions. Built on flexible microservices architecture and low-code tools, Enactor enables seamless omnichannel experiences including self-checkout, mobile POS, order orchestration, inventory management, and offline resilience for large enterprises and specialty retailers.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner with deep retail technology experience to own and drive the evolution of our Order Management System (OMS) capabilities. This is a senior product development role requiring a strong combination of retail domain knowledge, technical understanding, and product ownership experience. You will work across product, engineering, QA, delivery, and customer teams to define, prioritise, and deliver solutions that support complex retail and omnichannel operations. The successful candidate will have strong experience with retail systems, particularly Order Management, POS, and store operations, and will be comfortable translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for retail Order Management solutions.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design and deliver scalable software solutions.
  • Lead solution design discussions across OMS, POS, inventory, fulfilment, and omnichannel workflows.
  • Manage prioritisation of product enhancements, defects, and customer-driven requirements.
  • Support development, testing, release planning, and production deployment activities.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to understand operational challenges and define effective solutions.
  • Provide product expertise during customer engagements, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of production systems.
  • Contribute to product strategy, architecture decisions, and platform evolution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
