Senior Production Manager Huddersfield | Up to £60,000 + Bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a global manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Senior Production Manager for their Huddersfield facility. This is a site-critical role with full accountability for production output, people leadership, quality, and safety across a multi-line operation.
The Role
Reporting into the Operations Director, the Senior Production Manager will oversee Shift Management and Production Teams across two sites, with a headcount exceeding 150 heads. You will be responsible for hitting output targets, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards in quality and safety.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Production Manager include:
- Managing all manufacturing activities across site, ensuring product is delivered on time and in full against schedule
- Building and executing production schedules across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual horizons
- Owning KPI performance across output, machine efficiency, yields, and labor cost
- Leading, coaching, and developing the Shift Management team, including multi-skilling and training matrix management
- Driving lean and CI initiatives across the operation, reducing waste, and improving productivity
- Maintaining sites to audit-ready standard and supporting ISO audit activity
- Investigating quality issues and implementing preventative measures
- Taking full accountability for Health and Safety across all production areas

The Person
- Proven background in production or operations management within a high-volume, multi-line manufacturing environment
- A hands-on leader who can operate at pace and balance floor-level credibility with commercial awareness
- Strong people management skills with experience developing shift-based teams at scale
- Experienced in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, comfortable reporting at senior level
- Proficient in production planning and Microsoft Excel
