Senior Program Manager, Strategic Service Programs

Location: Reading, UK Job ID: 49356

The Senior Program Manager, Strategic Service Programs will lead critical customer, business, and transformation programs focused in EMEA, while supporting global services transformation initiatives across the organization.

We seek a motivated, inquisitive self-starter who excels in fast-paced environments, proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, develops actionable recommendations, and collaborates effectively across global, cross-functional teams. This role requires a blend of program leadership, business transformation, operational excellence, financial analysis, and strategic execution to manage complex initiatives ranging from multi-year programs to tactical projects.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

  • Lead customer-facing programs, strategic projects, and services transformation initiatives from initiation to successful delivery, primarily in EMEA.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity, stakeholder involvement, and impact.
  • Drive cross-functional execution (collaborating with Services, Product Management, Engineering, Tech Support, Customer Success, Sales/Pre-Sales, Operations, Finance, and external partners).
  • Develop and maintain program plans—containing requirements, financial analytics (P&L), schedules, risk registers, stakeholder roles, communication strategies, and executive reporting.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate risks, including contingency planning and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate executive reviews, steering committees, and decision-making forums.
  • Partner with Sales/Pre-Sales to align program/project objectives with strategic business goals and customer expectations.
  • Represent customer, services, and operational perspectives in product planning, collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to ensure roadmaps, epics, features, and improvements reflect business priorities.

Business & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze program financials, business metrics, and operational KPIs, ensuring compliance with baseline plans and reporting performance gaps.
  • Support business planning through financial modeling, ROI assessments, business case development, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Generate executive-level insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, assessing financial, operational, and customer impact.

Technology & Innovation

  • Operate effectively in technical environments, including cloud-based systems, APIs, biometrics (ABIS/AFIS), AI, cybersecurity, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
  • Leverage AI and automation to optimize productivity, decision-making, and service delivery.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders.

Services Strategies & Growth

  • Lead initiatives to evolve service portfolio, recurring revenue models, and delivery scalability.
  • Develop and commercialize service-based offerings (maintenance, support, managed services, subscriptions).
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product Management, Sales, and Operations to refine pricing, profitability, and cost-to-serve metrics.
  • Improve operational efficiency, customer experience, governance, and scalability.

Key Qualifications

Essential

  • 10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, Business Transformation, Operations, or Professional Services.
  • Deep understanding of PMO methodologies, risk management, financial analysis, stakeholder management, change management, and process improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including business cases, pricing analysis, cost estimation, ROI, and decision-making.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, propose solutions, and act with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in technical environments (cloud, APIs, biometrics, cybersecurity preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or Agile certifications.
  • Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe), PI planning, roadmap management.
  • Speaks EMEA languages (French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERPs, ITSM, Customer Support, or Service Management platforms.
