Job Title: Senior Programme Manager
Type: Contractor

Duration: 12 months
Vetting: SC security clearance and moving to DV - or eligibility for both
The Senior Programme Manager will provide senior leadership across the Programme, supporting delivery of current priorities whilst leading strategic planning for 2027 and beyond. The role will be responsible for shaping and maintaining the programme's forward roadmap, ensuring that future delivery, service growth, migration activity, platform rollout, onboarding, business change, and operational transition are planned and integrated with current programme activity.
Essential Skills
- Significant experience delivering large-scale digital, technology, infrastructure, or transformation programmes
- Proven record of operating successfully within complex multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience working across multiple workstreams, suppliers, and delivery organisations
- Experience developing and managing multi-year delivery roadmaps
- Ability to translate strategic outcomes into practical delivery plans
- Experience planning future phases of delivery whilst maintaining focus on current priorities
- Strong understanding of programme lifecycle management
- Experience planning and delivering major rollout, implementation, or migration programmes
- Experience coordinating business readiness, operational readiness, and change activity. Understanding of user adoption and service transition challenges.
- Strong understanding of programme planning, governance, and assurance
- Experience managing RAID, dependencies, critical paths, and delivery reporting
- Experience supporting senior governance forums and executive stakeholders
- Ability to provide concise and evidence-based delivery insights
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders in large organisations
- Ability to operate effectively across competing priorities and stakeholder interests
- Experience managing relationships with suppliers, delivery partners, and government stakeholders
- Excellent communication and engagement skills

The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Programme Manager who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery leadership. They will be comfortable working across both current delivery challenges and longer-term programme planning, ensuring that today's decisions enable future success.
