Senior Program Manager
Senior Program Manager, Strategic Service Programs – Location: Reading, UK

The Senior Program Manager, Strategic Service Programs will lead strategic customer, business, and transformation programs in EMEA, supporting broader global service transformation initiatives within the organization.
About the Role
This is a multi-faceted position where you’ll combine program leadership, business transformation, operational excellence, financial analysis, technical acumen, and strategic execution.
As the Program Manager, you will oversee complex customer programs, internal transformation initiatives, and evolve HID’s service portfolio, recurring revenue offerings, and service delivery capabilities.
The role requires the ability to:
- Manage multi-year programs and short-term strategic projects
- Oversee concurrent projects, programs, and business initiatives across varying levels of complexity, duration, stakeholders, and business impact
- Lead in requirements management, budget planning, financial analytics, schedule management, risk management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and executive reporting

Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Lead customer-facing programs and services transformation initiatives from initiation to successful delivery.
- Manage multiple high-complexity programs, projects, and business initiatives.
- Drive execution across cross-functional teams (Services, Product Management, Engineering, Support, Sales, Finance, and external partners).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans (requirements, financial analytics, schedules, risk registers, stakeholder alignment, communications, and executive reporting).
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks, including proactively launching mitigation strategies.
- Support sales and pre-sales functions to align with business strategy and customer expectations.
- Represent customer, services, and operational perspectives in product planning activities to ensure alignment with product roadmaps, customer needs, and business objectives.

Business & Financial Analysis
- Analyze program financials, KPIs, and operational metrics against plans of record.
- Provide data-driven insights and business recommendations through financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development.
- Offer high-level executive reporting and decision-making support.
- Evaluate opportunities based on financial, operational, and customer impact criteria.
Technology & Innovation
- Effectively operate within complex technological environments, including:
- Software & cloud solutions
- APIs and biometric systems
- ABIS/AFIS ecosystems
- Identity management and cybersecurity
- Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and service delivery.
- Function as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.
Services Strategies & Business Growth
- Drive service initiatives across portfolio evolution, recurring revenue growth, and service commercialization.
- Identify opportunities for recurring revenue streams (maintenance, subscription models, managed services).
- Collaborate with Finance, Product Management, Sales, and Operations to develop, commercialize, and optimize service models.
- Implement operational efficiencies, scalable solutions, and governance frameworks through cost-to-serve and profitability analysis.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management, business transformation, operations, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional, global-scale programs and initiatives.
- Strong expertise in program execution, risk management, finance (incl. P&L), stakeholder engagement, change management, and process optimization.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with business case development, pricing strategy, ROI assessment, and financial modeling expertise.
- Strong biophysitorole leadership, the ability to proactively challenge assumptions, and develop actionable recommendations with minimal oversight.
- Proven ability to navigate technology environments, including biometrics, APIs, and challenge identify-solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Formal Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).
- Exposure to Agile environments, including PI planning, Kanban, roadmap alignment, and backlog prioritization.
- Experience with service transformation, recurring revenue models, or commercialization.
- Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or other EMEA-relevant languages.
- Familiarity with ERP/ITSM/service management platforms.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in tech, software, biometrics, cybersecurity, SaaS transforms industries.
