AWS Skilling and Social Impact (SSI)
AWS Skilling and Social Impact (SSI) offers AWS re/Start as cohort-based, workforce development training program that helps adults build AI and cloud skills, utilizes AWS certifications to validate those skills, and connects graduates with employment opportunities. The program is free to the learner and focuses on helping unemployed and underemployed individuals launch careers in cloud and AI.
Through coursework, projects, and hands-on labs with real world scenarios, learners can gain the skills they need for entry-level tech roles. AWS re/Start provides introductory AI/ML training for developers and prepares learners for job interviews through interview coaching, resume support, and professional skills sessions.
Graduates of the AWS re/Start program can bring value to AWS customers and Partners looking to hire AI-trained, job-ready talent. AWS re/Start develops talent from non-traditional sources, amongst unemployed and underemployed groups who may otherwise have had the opportunity to learn to build in AWS.
SSI is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Program Manager who is passionate about skilling and workforce development programs for underserved communities. This individual will join the AWS re/Start team and be focused on the United Kingdom and Ireland, Nordics, and Benelux, in addition to owning projects with global scope.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
