About the Role
The Senior Programmatic & Media Operations Specialist will lead the planning, activation, optimisation, and operational management of BYD UK’s programmatic and digital media activity across Display, Online Video, Connected TV (CTV), Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH), and Digital Audio channels.
Working closely with the wider Paid Media, Brand, PR, and Creative teams, this role will ensure programmatic media plays a central role across both upper-funnel brand campaigns and lower-funnel performance activity.
This role will also play a key support function to the Head of Paid Media across wider media planning, campaign governance, reporting operations, financial administration, and cross-functional stakeholder management across all media channels excluding Paid Search and Paid Social.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on programmatic expertise with media planning, account management, and operational coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities
Programmatic Planning & Activation
- Plan, launch, and manage programmatic campaigns across Display, Online Video, YouTube, and CTV.
- Activate campaigns using DSPs such as The Trade Desk, Amazon, Quantcast, or equivalent platforms.
- Translate brand and performance objectives into clear programmatic strategies.
- Support integrated planning alongside Paid Search, Paid Social, OOH, and ATL activity.
- Support campaign planning across both upper-funnel brand campaigns and lower-funnel performance activity.

Optimisation & Performance
- Monitor and optimise campaigns to improve reach, frequency, CPM, CPV, CTR, and on-site performance.
- Analyse performance data to identify insights and optimisation opportunities.
- Own pacing, budget control, and delivery across campaigns.
- Support weekly and monthly reporting across wider media activity.
- Ensure campaign reporting frameworks and trackers are maintained consistently across the team.
Audience, Data & Measurement
- Build and activate first-party, third-party, contextual, and geo-based audiences.
- Support testing frameworks across formats, audiences, and creative.
- Work with analytics partners to ensure accurate tracking and measurement.
- Support campaign learning agendas and performance analysis across integrated media campaigns.
Creative & Collaboration
- Provide feedback on creative performance and best practice across programmatic, digital and video formats.
- Collaborate with Brand, PR, and Commercial teams on launches and always-on activity.
- Help manage campaign workflows and creative delivery timelines alongside the Content Specialist.
- Ensure campaign trackers and status sheets are maintained accurately across all live activity.
- Coordinate with media owners, agencies, and external partners where required.
Media Operations & Campaign Management
- Support the Senior Paid Media Lead with the operational management of BYD UK’s wider media activity across all channels excluding Paid Search and Paid Social.
- Own media finance processes across campaigns, including PO creation, invoice tracking, payment submissions, reconciliations, and budget management.
- Maintain accurate campaign pacing, financial tracking, and delivery status across all active media activity.
- Lead weekly reporting and campaign status cadences, ensuring all channel updates, trackers, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate campaign timelines, workflows, and deliverables across internal teams, media partners, agencies, and channel specialists.
- Support integrated campaign planning and governance across brand and performance activity.
- Work closely with the Content Specialist to manage creative workflows, asset delivery, approvals, and campaign readiness across all media workstreams.

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- 3-5+ years’ experience managing programmatic media campaigns, media planning, account management, or integrated media roles.
- Hands-on experience with DSPs such as The Trade Desk, Amazon, DV360, or Quantcast.
- Strong understanding of full-funnel programmatic media, and integrated media planning.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency.
- Understanding of tagging and google analytics.
- Experience managing campaign financial processes including PO management, invoice tracking, payment submissions, and budget reconciliation.
- Strong operational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaign workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience working across integrated media campaigns and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in automotive or high-consideration categories.
- Exposure to CTV and premium video environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale brand or ATL campaigns.
- Experience working in fast-paced in-house or agency environments.
