Senior Programme Advisor

Senior Programme Advisor

Here at BPP Education Group your career matters to us, and we’re committed to helping you succeed at every stage of your journey. We widely encourage internal mobility and as such, an opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive individual to join BPP Law School as a Senior Programme Advisor.

In this role you will provide proactive, high-quality pastoral and academic progress support to students, and create a positive and supportive student experience in their time at BPP

What if you read the description and don't meet every requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway - we value diverse backgrounds and are committed to inclusivity!

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will use data to monitor engagement and academic progress, and take a proactive, early-intervention approach to support a student’s academic progress. You’ll be responsible for ensuring students are connected directed quickly to appropriate specialist services and ultimately supporting progression through their programme of study.

As such, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining supportive, professional relationships with students, providing clear guidance on navigating their studies.
  • Accurate written and contemporaneous recording of student interactions, meetings and communications.
  • Proactively reviewing student attendance, engagement and academic progress data to identify students who are at risk of disengagement.
  • Managing the full pastoral relationship with your allocated students, providing guidance and signposting on wellbeing, personal challenges and study-related concerns within the limits of the role.
  • Identifying when a student needs support beyond the scope of the role including specialist counselling, learning support services or safeguarding concerns.
  • Providing clear and accurate information and guidance to students on programme processes including assessments, appeals and progression.
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure a consistent and positive student experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of pastoral provision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
