Location: Aberdeen (Minimum 3 Days Per Week On-Site)

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end execution of complex IT transformation programmes across multi-workstreams, embedding Agile where required.
  • Maturity across governance frameworks (e.g., stage-gate approaches) to ensure timely, safe, and compliant delivery.
  • Oversee budgets, risks, dependencies, and critical RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management.

Stakeholder & Collaborative Focus

  • Build trusted relationships with client executives, technical teams, and external suppliers. -Champion cross-functional alignment, enabling Seamless operational transitions into HSE-controlled environments.
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and executive engagement at all project stages.

Continuous Improvement & Service Excellence

  • Embed CGI delivery standards and best practices via lessons-learned workshops and performance metrics.
  • Ensure go-live readiness, hypercare support, and industry-quality outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Lead all stages from concept to go-live maturation, ensuring scale-up execution while aligning with:

  • Operational excellence in production environments
  • Strategic client goals: Enhancing business performance through innovation and integration
  • Market best practices: Maintaining Programme Manager Institute standards

Required Qualifications

To drive this critical role successfully, you must demonstrate: ✔ 10+ years of progressive programme management experience in large-scale IT transformation (especially within oil & gas, energy, or highly regulated industries) ✔ Proven governance expertise including PRINCE2 Practitioner/PMP (or equivalent recognition) ✔ Depth in multi-vendor programme orchestrations, budget oversight, and risk mitigation frameworks ✔ Hands-on stakeholder management skills balancing strategy with tactical delivery

Essential & Desirable Skills

Essential

  • Full compliance with UK Security Clearance requirements
  • Fluency in programme governance matrices, stage-gate reviews, and police-based audits
  • Track record in synchronised programme execution (e.g., Hybrid Agile-Waterfall)

Desirable

✦ Familiarity with core certifications:

  • Agile/Scrum (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Master)
  • ITIL (Private Cloud/Infrastructure Foundation/Service Transition) ✦ Working knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud Platform role assets ✦ Experience in ERP or asset-intensive transformation programmes ✦ Custom process-mapping/optimisation exposure (e.g., BPMN/SOAs)
