About the Role
Lead change. Empower young people. Deliver real outcomes.
As a Senior Progression Coach, you’ll take a leadership role in supporting young people towards housing stability, financial security, and meaningful opportunities. This involves managing a small caseload while guiding and developing a team. You’ll apply a strengths-based, therapeutic approach, using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy principles to drive positive outcomes.
We need a confident managerial leader with experience in fast-paced, community-based environments. Your strengths should include:
- Strong supervisory skills
- Expertise in safeguarding, risk assessment, and partnership working
- A proactive attitude towards progress measurement and accountability

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Client Support
- Ensure full understanding of outcomes-based contract requirements
- Work with your team to identify, record, and evidence client progress promptly
- Support clients to achieve their desired outcomes, including:
- Secure accommodation
- Improve financial stability
- Develop social networks
- Engage in meaningful activities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our Inform client database
- Carry a small caseload and provide personalised, strength-focused support
- Ensure quarterly risk assessments and SMART outcomes-based plans for every client
- Deliver one-to-one support in the community, including occasional group work facilitation

Safeguarding & Wellbeing
- Ensure clients’ safety and wellbeing through compliance with Depaul’s Safeguarding & Emergency Alert procedures
- Follow Depaul’s Policies and Procedures
- Partner with external agencies (statutory teams, landlords, third-sector organisations) to enhance client care
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop your team through regular appraisals, meetings, and caseload reviews
- Communicate bi-weekly with your own line manager through supervision
- Apply ACT principles consistently across both client support and team culture
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with internal/external evaluation teams to enhance service delivery
- Support multidisciplinary working while adhering to data protection and information-sharing standards

Professional Experience & Competencies
- Team Management: Experience supporting and supervising others
- High-Impact Services: Experience working with young people facing:
- Homelessness
- Mental ill-health
- Substance misuse
- Limited opportunities
- Case Management: Ability to draft and manage caseloads effectively
- Lone & Community Work: Experience in independent field-based roles
- Record-Keeping: Diligence in timely, accurate record-keeping (database/informal notes)
- Strengths-Based Practice: Understanding of asset-focused support models
Key Skills
- Risk & Planning: Knowledge of conducting risk assessments and support planning
- Information Technology: Strong proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and IT tools
- Safeguarding: A committed understanding of safeguarding protocols
- Diversity & Inclusion: A commitment to fairness, dignity, and zero discrimination
- Reflective Practice: Willingness to assess and adapt personal and professional growth
