Senior Project Accountant
Senior Project Accountant | Glasgow | 6-Month Contract
HRC Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our Glasgow-based client, a well-established organisation, with the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant on an initial 6-month contract.
We're looking to speak with qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally those who trained within a Big 4 or large accountancy practice before moving into industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team supporting project delivery, audit activities and a range of commercial finance initiatives.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Supporting the financial management of projects from inception through to completion.
- Producing project P&L reporting, forecasts and variance analysis.
- Partnering with project managers to provide financial insight and challenge.
- Supporting audit delivery and strengthening financial controls.
- Preparing business cases, capital investment appraisals and cash flow forecasts.
- Driving finance process improvements and contributing to strategic projects.
- Providing technical accounting support, including IFRS and capitalisation guidance.

Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Ideally trained within a Big 4 or large accountancy firm.
- Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge.
- Experience in project accounting, business partnering, or commercial finance.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive approach and a passion for improving processes.
