Senior Project Accounting Manager

📍 London (Hybrid Working)
💰 £80,000–£100,000 + Benefits

A high-growth, private equity-backed international professional services business is seeking an ambitious Controller to join its leadership team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to move beyond traditional financial control and take on a broad leadership role with exposure to strategic decision-making, commercial finance, project delivery, and business growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the next phase of the organisation's expansion. The position offers a genuine and clearly defined progression pathway to Finance Director and ultimately CFO within a growing international business.

This role would particularly suit a high-performing Senior Finance Manager or Project Accountant seeking their first Financial Controller type position, or an existing Financial Controller looking for greater commercial exposure and long-term leadership opportunities.

The Opportunity

Operating within a complex international environment, the successful candidate will have responsibility for financial reporting, business partnering, project accounting, forecasting, systems improvement, and team leadership.

Working closely with the CFO and senior operational leaders, the role combines strong technical finance capability with commercial insight and strategic influence.

Finance is viewed as a key business partner across the organisation, and this position will work extensively with project delivery, operational leadership, and business development teams to drive financial performance, support growth initiatives, and improve decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
