Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre Opportunity
The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre supports wide-ranging projects spanning Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management, and Commercial Disciplines. We offer support across the entire project lifecycle, from pre-contract to post-contract phases, executing infrastructure projects valued from several hundred thousand pounds to £200M+.
Seeking talented individuals to grow our team and develop their careers, while delivering complex projects for our Defence clients.
Job Title: Senior Project Controls Professional (Planning Specialism)
Key Responsibilities
You’ll provide professional project controls support, aligning with client requirements, including:
- Schedule Management
- Create and maintain project schedules to meet project requirements.
- Develop schedules together with project managers and teams.

Performance & Efficiency
- Minimise uncertainty, clearly define objectives, and enhance project efficiency.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Partner with project managers to schedule workloads and coordinate tasks.
- Evaluate schedule performance and identify potential issues.
- Support change management processes to ensure timely adjustments.
- Assist teams in compiling status reports for senior management.

Critical Path Recovery
- Conduct analysis to assess alternate strategies or recover from schedule slippage.
Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Membership:
- Degree in a technical or management-related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional body membership, e.g., Association for Project Management (APM) or Project Management Institute (PMI).

Technical Expertise:
- Proven project controls experience, specialising in planning & scheduling.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera (P6) and other scheduling/estimating tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera Risk Analysis).
- Multi-disciplinary knowledge and shift task coordination.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, lead, and mobilise teams.
- Proven stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments.
