This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a significant portfolio of projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and regulatory requirements.
You will operate in a complex delivery landscape, overseeing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a relentless focus on time, cost, quality, safety, and outcomes.
You’ll play a critical role in embedding a strong building safety culture, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, and overseeing works related to Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs)—maintaining the “golden thread” of information and working closely with key duty holders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver a portfolio of projects and programmes valued at £5m–£8m+
- Provide strategic direction, governance, and assurance across all delivery activity
- Drive programme planning, prioritisation, and management of complex interdependencies
- Take full ownership of financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Oversee risk, issue, and contract management, ensuring strong mitigation strategies
- Implement consistent methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices
- Build, lead, and inspire high-performing, dispersed delivery teams
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing expert insight on delivery and risk
- Champion continuous improvement, driving efficiency, value for money, and service transformation
- Ensure delivery outcomes achieve measurable organisational benefits

About You
You’re a strategic and commercially astute delivery leader with a proven track record in complex project environments—ideally within social housing, construction, or property services.
You will bring:
- A degree or equivalent experience in a construction, building, or related discipline
- Significant experience delivering large-scale programmes and planned works, valued at £5-8m+
- A strong background in contractor and supplier management
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety legislation, including HRBs and fire safety
- Proven ability to lead large teams, develop talent, and drive high performance
- A track record in transformation, delivering efficiencies and improved outcomes
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

This role is a hybrid role enabling you to base yourself from home. As travel throughout the operating region will be required you will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
