Job Description

Typical work scopes will include but not be limited to installation, light construction, decommissioning, diving, well or flowline remediation / intervention and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) work scopes.

The project engineering will be provided generally from the local office with short term deployments to EMEA to support projects as required. The Senior Project Engineer will report functionally to the Engineering Manager and day-to-day to project managers as needed.

The Senior Project Engineer will assist the Oceaneering Offshore Project Group (OPG) with the design, planning and execution of offshore projects, encompassing activities from initial contact with clients through proposal input, concept/ FEED, detailed engineering and planning, procurement/ manufacture to execution. Typical activities will support work scopes that include but are not limited to engineered solutions, light construction, diving and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR). The role will be based in Aberdeen, UK, reporting to the Engineering Lead.

Responsibilities

Carries out tasks as assigned by the Engineering Lead or by the project organizations you are assigned to. Tasks will be focused on technical issues but can also include administrative and project management functions.

Work closely with Project Manager(s) to ensure all project objectives, schedule, deliverables, and milestones are met and carry out work which may include: Performance management of suppliers and/or sub-contractors Preparation of procedures, task plans, Lift Plans, and review of drawings and engineering deliverables. Preparation of project or technical reports as required by management, clients or other stakeholders. Provision of input to cost estimates, schedule development, manpower requirements and the like. Support pre and post testing of equipment, as well as repair and maintenance with the help of other support functions. Plan and manage mob/demob of equipment, Rigging, and Installation Aids according to project requirements. Supporting the Project manager with vendor selection, create Scope of work for Subcontractors for Project required scopes as needed. Travel offshore and perform day to day management of project activities Close-out/As-built report at the end of the project Liaising with the discipline engineering teams to engineering of subsea hardware, including development, evaluation, engineering, design, controls, procurement, and construction phases of project implementation to ensure project completion as efficiently and effectively as possible. Performs direction and oversight of engineering task performed by the project team of Engineer(s) Responsibility for creating and reviewing engineering procedures and specifications for compliance with design principles, applicable standards, and customer requirements. Prepares design changes, specifications, schematics, and test plans for installation equipment and subsea hardware. Review and/or conduct engineering calculations and analysis. Review product designs, conducts, and attends Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Integration Tests (SIT). Perform oversight of offshore operations and on-site oversight of OPG projects and subcontractors as required in a project role. Sporadic Work and travel in EMEA, both onshore and offshore

Working Conditions

This position is considered 80% OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place Work surface is stable (flat)

This position is considered 20% OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows

Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels, and the light is intense/glare Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases Work surface is stable, height is elevated Work locations could include onshore base/Client locations as well as working from home

Required

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Civil or Ocean Engineering) Preferably 8 or more years' relevant experience from the subsea industry Knowledge of MathCAD, 3D CAD, 2D AutoCAD Ability to travel internationally for work scopes Valid driver’s license Valid passport Must be able to obtain: Seaman’s book Petroleum Education Council (PEC) Basic Training Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)

DESIRED

Experience in working offshore on subsea installations or IMR projects, both using ROV’s and diving Prior experience working Internationally. Experience with conflict resolution and change management
