Senior Project Engineer: Pressure Management & Modelling
Lead pressure management and modelling excellence
Purpose and Scope
Tetra Tech’s Water Consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide technical leadership to a team of clean water pressure management engineers and data analysts. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning technical delivery for pressure management schemes
- Directing day-to-day workload planning
- Setting quality and health & safety (H&S) standards
- Collaborating with clients and delivery partners
- Managing execution of AMP-level programmes and capital delivery projects, with typical work encompassing:
- Hydraulic modelling
- Scheme optioneering
- Data analysis
- Line management
- Commercial oversight

Hydraulics, Modelling & Data Analytics
- Substantial experience in:
- Clean water network hydraulics
- Steady-state and transient modelling
- Pressure management techniques
- Interpreting large datasets
Project & Commercial Management
- Strong track record of delivering projects on time and budget
- Risk management
- Commercial performance forecasting
- Bid and proposal support
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain collaborative client relationships
- Influence at senior levels
- Translate complex technical deliverables into actionable business decisions
Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Enthusiastic commitment to H&S standards
- Quality assurance
- Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and delivery standards
Requirements
Essential
- Degree in engineering or related discipline
- Substantial experience in clean water networks
- Chartered (CEng, MCIWEM, etc) or actively working towards chartership
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification
- Formal management training
- Proven experience in AMP programme delivery
Work Arrangements & Location
- Hybrid work model with regular regional office presence
- Expect to travel regularly to client and site locations
- Flexible hours, depending on project demands
