Job Description
The Senior Project Management Office Specialist will underpin IT-PMO & Delivery by setting and sustaining governance standards, controls, and reporting. This role serves as a trusted cross-delivery coordination hub.

Key Responsibilities
Governance & Standards
- Maintain and continuously improve the PMO framework, methodologies, templates, and ways of working.
- Embed consistent project lifecycle controls (stage gates, approvals, baselines) across the portfolio.
- Champion adherence to delivery standards, coaching teams on best practices.
Portfolio Reporting & Insight
- Produce accurate portfolio dashboards and status reporting.
- Consolidate project-level data into portfolio-level insights, flagging trends, delays, and dependencies.
Planning & Financial Control
- Support project planning, milestone tracking, and resource/capacity management.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and actuals, flagging variances.
- Align the portfolio roadmap to strategic priorities.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Maintain portfolio-level RAID logs and escalate risks/issues.
- Track cross-project dependencies and coordinate resolutions with delivery leads.
Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct project health checks and quality reviews.
- Drive process improvements, elevating PMO maturity.

Requirements
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in PMO or project controls, ideally in a tech/delivery environment.
- Strong working knowledge of project governance, lifecycle methodologies.
- Advanced reporting/data-handling skills (e.g., SQL, Excel Power tools).
- Proven stakeholder management at senior leadership level.
- Exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to juggle competing priorities.
