Job Description

As our Senior Project Manager, you will direct complex assignments across multiple projects and sectors, ensuring outstanding client service while aligning with Egis’ values. This role demands:

Key Responsibilities

Planning

  • Develop project management plans and establish governance frameworks
  • Draft and maintain master programmes, milestones, and team responsibilities
  • Review construction programmes, validating requirements and proposing enhancements

Engagement

  • Define, manage, and liaise with key stakeholders at every level
  • Lead project meetings and correspondence authoring to ensure action-tracking
  • Prepare formal/informal reports tailored to client needs
  • Attend client board meetings; compile and distribute reports in advance

Procurement

  • Write and issue scopes of work, requests for proposals (RFPs) and appointment documents
  • Participation in project tender preparation with internal/external cost management teams to ensure clarity of scope
  • Review tender responses from a technical compliance standpoint
  • Lead contractor negotiations to achieve best-value pricing
  • Support appointment finalisation

Risk & Value Delivery

  • Review design packages for brief compliance
  • Facilitate value engineering and risk workshops
  • Track risk mitigation strategies and opportunities
  • Assess contractor delay claims in collaboration with commercial teams

Project Administration

  • Monitor design team/contractor progress and commercial matters
  • Conduct formal board reporting, agenda-setting, and minute-taking
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and communication protocols
  • Manage Document Management Systems (DMS) and project correspondence logs

Commercial

  • Schedule project costs and negotiate fees
  • Track and report financial performance
  • Vet fee proposals and process invoices
  • Authorise change requests, assess financial impacts, and seek stakeholder approval

General Duties

  • Oversee / mentor sub-consultants or project teams
  • Support professional development and foster team culture
  • Contribute to business growth initiatives and lead networking

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree-level equivalent education or proven experience
  • Membership of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM) or equivalent credential
  • Proven buildings/civil scheme experience (aviation sector highly desirable)
  • NEC project management knowledge advantageous

Note: Security clearance may be required.


Experience & Compliance

  • 5+ years of uninterrupted UK employment (for potential security clearance)
  • Demonstratable project management expertise across complex, concurrent initiatives
