World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for a delivery from initiation through to service acceptance, spanning core and access network deployment, data centre migration and fit-out, and the design/build requirements associated with next-generation AI-ready data centre infrastructure (high-density compute, liquid cooling, power and connectivity readiness).

The ideal candidate requires end-to-end ownership of complex projects, managing budgets, vendors, governance, and cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure initiatives on time and within budget.

This is a contract Role and Outside IR35

Senior Project Manager

  • Contract Duration: 6 months!
  • Location: Reading, UK (Hybrid with 1 day onsite per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale data center migration, build, and telecom network deployment programs from planning through execution and decommissioning.
  • Manage program governance, RAID processes, budgets, schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee data center fit-outs, including power, cooling, cabling, security, and physical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate network deployments across WAN/LAN, MPLS, DWDM, transport, and PoP environments.
  • Drive AI/HPC data center initiatives, including high-density power, liquid cooling, GPU networking, and resiliency requirements.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, telecom carriers, and commercial agreements.
  • Lead project teams and ensure adoption of PM best practices (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, governance, quality, and health & safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of program/project management experience in Data Center or Infrastructure environments.
  • Proven expertise in data center migration, fit-out, and build projects.
  • Strong understanding of network technologies (WAN/LAN, MPLS, DWDM, cabling, transport networks).
  • Experience with AI/HPC infrastructure, including GPU clusters and high-density data center design.
  • Strong financial, vendor, contract, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing global teams and enterprise-scale infrastructure programs.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Construction Management, or related field.
