This is a key strategic role, responsible for leading a portfolio of complex, business-critical projects and ensuring they deliver tangible outcomes and benefits aligned to Osborne Clarke’s strategic goals. You will also matrix-manage and mentor project managers, helping to develop delivery capability across the firm.

You will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with the Head of Portfolio & Delivery, Head of Change Management, Director of Change & Transformation, Business Analysis Lead, PMO Manager and senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery of clearly defined business benefits and outcomes.

  • Shape and support business cases, working with business analysts and sponsors.
  • Deliver to agreed timelines and budgets, managing and tracking project budgets and benefit profiles.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, including interdependencies and critical paths.
  • Provide high-quality reporting and insight for governance forums and senior stakeholders, enabling informed and timely decision-making.
  • Escalate and manage risks and issues proactively, maintaining appropriate controls.
  • Lead and motivate project delivery teams, including third parties, creating clarity, accountability and momentum.
  • Work closely with the Change Management team to plan and deliver activities that drive adoption, engagement and benefit realisation.
  • Embed benefits management and outcomes-focused delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, producing recommendations to improve future delivery.
  • Support a culture of collaboration and clear communication across Business Services and the wider firm.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
