This role sits within the Wealth Project Management team, which serves as a bridge between strategy and execution. We partner with leaders across the business to deliver initiatives that improve how we operate, enhance the client experience, and support sustainable business growth.
Success in this role requires more than strong project management skills. You will be a trusted partner to stakeholders, a leader of cross-functional teams, and a catalyst for change, bringing structure to ambiguity, aligning diverse perspectives, and translating strategic objectives into successful outcomes.
Examples of initiatives may include platform and technology transformations, operating model improvements, regulatory and risk programmes, vendor implementations, business process optimisation, and strategic growth initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategic projects and transformation initiatives from initial scoping and business case development through implementation and close.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, requirements, success measures, and delivery roadmaps.
- Build strong relationships across business functions, technology teams, and external partners to drive alignment and successful outcomes.
- Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams across multiple regions, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a shared sense of purpose.
- Identify, manage, and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, ensuring challenges are addressed proactively.
- Provide clear and insightful project updates to stakeholders and senior leaders, focusing on progress, outcomes, value delivery, and key decisions.
- Analyse project and delivery metrics to identify trends, support decision-making, and improve project performance.
- Navigate complex and changing environments, helping teams prioritise effectively while maintaining momentum.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery practices, processes, ways of working, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the development of the Project Management team by sharing best practices, coaching team members, and helping strengthen project management capabilities across the organisation.
Who You Are
- An Experienced Project Leader: You have significant experience leading complex initiatives, typically gained through 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within financial services, wealth management, fintech, or another highly regulated environment.

- A Trusted Partner: Your communication skills, credibility, and collaborative approach enable you to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- A Confident Leader: You are comfortable leading cross-functional teams, facilitating difficult conversations, aligning competing priorities, and driving progress in complex environments.
- An Exceptional Problem Solver: You enjoy tackling ambiguity, breaking down complex challenges, and identifying practical, effective solutions that balance risk, effort, and value.
- An Agent of Change: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can help individuals and teams successfully navigate change while maintaining engagement and momentum.
- A Continuous Improver: You actively seek opportunities to improve processes, strengthen team performance, and elevate delivery standards across the organisation.
- Technically Versatile: You are experienced with a range of project management methodologies, including Agile, Lean, and traditional approaches, and understand when and how to apply each effectively.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms is highly desirable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
