An Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring, self-motivated individual to join the Pharmacy Team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS as Senior Project Manager on a fixed term basis. Funded from the East Midlands Cancer Alliance, this post will be instrumental in supporting implementation, scoping and delivery of determined efficiencies across the Pharmacy Aseptic Services and the pharmacy oncology team.
With excellent communication and influencing skills, you will support the review of existing processes and pathways and support implementation of new ways of working to improve the care of patients across UHL Cancer Centre. You will help to support a new electronic system upgrade and streamline the ordering of medicines across different pharmacy locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills, ability to support all aspects of the full project lifecycle, combined with strong leadership and people management experience to be able to support on the key focus area outcomes from the UHL Cancer Centre – working to implement One Versus Two stop for aseptic services.
- Be resilient and adaptable, with a 'can-do' attitude, able to operate in a highly complex, dynamic and fast-changing environment working in collaboration with pharmacy and other colleagues from across Clinical Management Groups to support pharmacy projects as required and provide appropriate assurances to embed sustainable delivery.
- Lead alongside the CMG Lead Pharmacists, Principal Pharmacists and Principal Pharmacy Technicians along with the Pharmacy Leadership Team to support the Pharmacy Service with the projects currently required.
- Develop and maintain detailed action plans. Work alongside the Pharmacy Senior Team to ensure robust mechanisms are embedded in the service and to provide and maintain appropriate assurance frameworks for sustainable delivery of any actions or recommendations.
- Work alongside the Pharmacy Senior Management Team, key members of the pharmacy team, members of CSI and representatives/stakeholders from relevant Clinical Management Group (CMG) to progress the specific improvement schemes.
