Senior Project Manager
£60,000 - £75,000

Carriera is partnering with a well-established construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Project Manager for their Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to work across a strong pipeline of industrial, logistics projects within a collaborative and growing team. The role will see you managing projects from feasibility through to completion, taking ownership across delivery, stakeholder management, commercial performance and programme management on a range of live operational schemes.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead projects through all stages from initial brief and feasibility through to completion and handover
- Manage industrial and logistics projects across live operational environments.
- Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations.
- Prepare and manage project programmes, progress reports and key stage reporting throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Chair project meetings, manage stakeholder communication and provide clear updates to clients and senior teams.
- Support procurement, tender and contractor appointment processes, including managing contractor queries during bidding stages.
- Administer NEC and JCT contracts, managing commercial, contractual and risk-related matters effectively.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for further business development.

Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes across industrial and logistics sectors.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within consultancy or client-side environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive and client-facing approach.
- Confident preparing reports, programmes and project documentation to a high standard.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, risk and procurement processes.
Experience
- Experience delivering industrial, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing projects from inception through to completion.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts and contract administration.
- Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous.
- Degree qualified within Construction Project Management or a related construction discipline.
- MRICS, MAPM or working towards chartership would be beneficial.
