IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital and technology initiatives, including product development and innovation-focused programmes. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery across IT and business functions, with exposure to R&D environments.
Experience within Operational Technology (OT) networks and cyber security environments is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT and digital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to delivery and transition to support
- Drive product development initiatives, working closely with technical teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Support R&D and innovation projects
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and governance processes effectively
- Ensure adherence to project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and organisational standards
- Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and financials

Requirements
✅ Proven experience delivering IT projects within complex environments (ideally within regulated industries such as energy, utilities, or infrastructure)
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ Strong planning, risk management, and reporting capability
✅ Experience working in utilities, energy, regulated, or critical national infrastructure environments
✅ Comfortable running projects in fluid and evolving environments
✅ Experience working with multiple suppliers and integrators
✅ Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and able to apply structure where needed
✅ Flexibility to adapt and tailor delivery approaches to optimise project outcomes
✅ Strong understanding of risk and issue management, including development of mitigation and contingency plans
✅ Experience supporting or working within R&D or innovation-focused initiatives
✅ Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
✅ Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
✅ Experience with project governance, reporting, and financial management
