Senior Project Manager

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Project Manager to lead a critical Cloud & Data Platforms project. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to build and migrate cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data platforms. This opportunity is hybrid and based in Central London 1 or 2 days a week.

Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the build and delivery of new AWS accounts which host our Enterprise Platform workload and manage the migration of key workloads into this new account.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain required governance artifacts, including the project charter, detailed project plans, budgets, and the RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions) log.
  • Develop project plans, establishing clear milestones, cutover criteria, and rollback. Coordinate the technical categorisation and separation of data, guaranteeing zero data loss.
  • Manage the development and execution of comprehensive communication plans, and business change strategies to ensure a seamless experience for users.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to executive stakeholders and manage relationships with third-party implementation partners and internal technical resources
  • Facilitate collaboration between Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Legal, and Technology teams to align technical automated controls with core business governance rules.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in managing complex Cloud infrastructure migrations.
  • In depth experience in Cloud to Cloud migrations across AWS and GCP, utilising CSP tooling to achieve a simple and cost effective outcome.
  • Understanding of Agile software delivery approaches including CI/CD and tooling like Github.
  • Change Management skills: Strong background in organisational change management and user training strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Been part of a delivery team that has experience of Data Centre Hardware capabilities.
