Senior Project Manager
London – Hybrid (2 days a week on site)
Permanent
£75,000 - £80,000 p/a
Our client combines global know-how with local insight to help their clients turn business goals into reality, by offering innovation, automation and organisational design.
As a Senior Project Manager in their Strategic Projects Group, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of complex, business-critical projects for clients - from acquisitions of new brands to system and software implementations across multiple markets. This is a generalist role: you won't be tied to one project type or sector, so we need someone who can think strategically about how each project fits into a client's wider goals, not just execute a plan.
You'll be comfortable working independently across multiple time zones and several concurrent projects, confident at challenging stakeholders when needed, and energized by variety rather than repetition.
As a Senior Project Manager you will:
- Own the full lifecycle of medium to large, multi-workstream projects from initiation through to closure
- Agree project objectives, scope, budget and deliverables with sponsors and stakeholders, and translate these into a clear project plan with owned milestones and timelines.
- Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, ensuring the project connects to the client's broader business goals.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams consisting of business, technical and third-party vendors - holding the team to its commitments and resolving conflicting priorities.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships through clear, regular reporting on progress, risks and decisions
- Ensure deliverables are tested against agreed acceptance criteria and properly handed into operational support and capture lessons learned
- Support the wider team by sharing knowledge across project managers and contributing to shared templates, tools and processes.
- Working with other project managers in the team to deliver wider programmes of work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Successful Senior Project Manager will have:
- Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. Breadth across project types is valued over depth in a single sector and experience in consulting, marketing or media sectors would be an advantage.
- A strategic thinker who connects project delivery to the bigger business picture, not just a process-follower.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and use to managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders across time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to challenge stakeholders constructively when needed.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and delivering against tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or other relevant project management methodologies with adaptability to ensure the approach meets the clients needs.
- A project management qualification (PMI, PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
