Senior Project Manager
This Senior Project Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge wireless communication products used in both commercial and defence applications. Working across RF, hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams, you’ll take ownership of technically complex programmes from concept through to production, helping bring next-generation connectivity solutions to market.
The role is based in Bristol, operating on a hybrid basis, and offers a competitive package with excellent benefits and long-term career progression.
Our client is an innovative technology company developing advanced wireless communication systems that solve some of the industry’s toughest connectivity challenges. Their products combine custom silicon, RF engineering, embedded software, and complex hardware platforms to deliver high-performance solutions deployed in real-world transport, defence, and industrial environments. As the business continues to grow, they’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to coordinate multidisciplinary development programmes and ensure projects are delivered successfully.

As the Project Manager, you’ll work closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and commercial teams, taking ownership of delivery across the full product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include
- Managing complex hardware and software development programmes from feasibility through to production
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across RF, embedded software, firmware, PCB, and mechanical design
- Managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies
- Working closely with operations and manufacturing to support NPI and production transfer
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external partners
- Providing clear project reporting and ensuring delivery remains aligned with business objectives
What you’ll bring
- Experience managing complex engineering projects within hardware-focused environments
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary product development involving RF systems, PCB design, embedded software, and firmware
- Experience managing projects through the complete product development lifecycle, including manufacturing readiness
- Knowledge of structured stage-gate development alongside Agile software delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within wireless communications, telecommunications, defence, or advanced electronics would be highly advantageous
