Capital Delivery | Raynesway (Derby)

Within our Capital Delivery team, we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major capital schemes from our Raynesway site, taking ownership of complex projects that are critical to our network and customers.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take end-to-end accountability for the delivery of major, high-value capital projects, leading across the full project lifecycle.
You’ll:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality outcomes
- Take ownership of project planning, governance, and delivery performance
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies, resolving complex challenges and escalations
- Lead contract and supplier management, including NEC responsibilities
- Take accountability for budgets, forecasting and financial control
- Engage with senior stakeholders and governance forums to drive decisions and keep delivery on track
- Ensure effective transition into operations, including handover and benefits realisation
- Provide oversight and support to Project Managers and wider delivery teams
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing across all projects
- Drive continuous improvement and consistent ways of working across delivery

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an experienced project leader with a strong track record delivering major infrastructure schemes.
You’ll have:
- Proven experience delivering complex capital or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience working in regulated or large-scale delivery environments
- Experience managing NEC contracts or similar frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
- Ability to lead delivery across multiple stakeholders and complex environments
- Experience managing project risk, planning and governance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting project teams
- A structured, proactive and problem-solving approach

- A project management qualification or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence
