Senior Project Manager

Regional Project Manager – Client-side

Basic Information

  • Location: Flexible (able to live anywhere in the North West region) Travel required: 4 days a week for site visits, 1 day for admin and remote work Sites based between Birmingham and Newcastle
  • Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 basic + corporate package
  • Position Type: Permanent

About the Opportunity

The Resolute Group has partnered with a leading national client overseeing over 400 UK assets, including a vast high-value property portfolio in the North.

You will work directly for this asset owner, providing dedicated support on live projects across their portfolio. Responsibilities include managing contractors delivering diverse projects such as:

  • Re-fits
  • EV charging installations
  • Refurbishments
  • Kitchen fit-outs
  • Toilet refurbishments
  • New lighting
  • Roof replacements
  • Fit-out-led initiatives

Scope

Manage a portfolio of low- to mid-value projects:

  • Budget range: ££10k–£5m
  • Geographical focus: North East, North West, and Midlands

Key Objectives

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, budget, and scope
  • Proactively identify and report risks to stakeholders
  • Build open, trust-based relationships with supply chain partners to foster collaboration
  • Provide problem-solving support (beyond report-sharing) to resolve issues in real time

Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership

  • Define project scopes, budgets, and resources aligned with organisational objectives
  • Align project delivery with target deadlines through effective schedule management
  • Oversee milestone tracking with contractors to mitigate delays

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Create and implement a standardised risk response framework for programme-level threats
  • Conduct proactive risk identification and assessments, escalating critical issues

Stakeholder Relations & Coordination

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and supporting departments
  • Present cohesive reports to executive teams—including progress updates, RAMS (Risk, Assumptions, Mitigation, Safeguarding), and risk documentation

Practical Fieldwork Considerations

  • Daily travel required across wide regions (e.g., Newcastle to Liverpool to Birmingham)
  • Flexible weekly planning for site inspections
  • Local overnight stays occasionally necessary to cover all assigned sites

Candidate Requirements

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Project Management for asset owners/clients (scope, timeline, budget oversight)
  • Experience in a building/fit-out sector preferred, though other sectors (public, private, infrastructure) will be considered
  • Degree qualification (any discipline)
  • Full UK driving licence (right to work in the UK confirmed and unrestricted)
