Senior Project Manager – Power Conversion & Storage | Rugby, UK

Do you want to lead high-profile, complex engineering projects that are helping to power and decarbonise the world? GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to join our Power Conversion & Storage team based in Rugby, United Kingdom.

GE Vernova – The Energy to Change the World

With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonise it. Our name reflects our mission. "GE" carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. "Ver" signals Earth's lush ecosystems, while "Nova" nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.

Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety, and quality of life.

Electrification

Our Electrification solutions modernise grids, enable renewable integration, and strengthen energy systems. From software to power conversion and storage, we help create smarter, more resilient energy networks.

Let's Talk About The Role

The Senior Project Manager leads the delivery of complex, integrated engineering systems for external customers — driving performance, managing risk, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

You will take ownership of either a major project or a portfolio of projects, working with some of the world's leading energy, maritime, and industrial organisations. From contract handover through to final customer acceptance, you are the driving force behind successful delivery — coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, finance, supply chain, planning, field service, and contract management, while maintaining strong and trusted relationships with your customers throughout.

How You Will Make a Difference

Leading the contract execution and delivery of complex, customised engineering projects — including power conversion systems, battery energy storage systems, rotating stabilisers, switchgear, control and automation, and associated balance of plant equipment

Building strong, collaborative relationships with external customers, acting as the primary point of contact and championing a culture of high customer satisfaction

Driving project performance by monitoring progress against baseline plans, managing change and risk, controlling costs, and delivering accurate forecasts and reports

Coordinating and influencing multi-disciplinary teams across a matrix organisation, working closely with lead engineers, supply chain partners, and internal and external stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
