We are interested in speaking with candidates up to Senior Project Manager level about a position in our Bristol Project Management Team

Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for Construction Project Management professionals to join our Bristol Project Management team.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering projects to a variety of client groups, managing key client projects and providing a contribution to multi-disciplinary teams as well as supporting the management and direction of the Project Management group. This is a fast-paced team with an enviable client-list and an increasing workload; there is significant room for development of the team on both a horizontal and vertical scale.

You will be reporting into a director with opportunity to run projects from your first day. As such, you must demonstrate experience with projects as well as the ability to manage and build strong relationships with corporate clients. You will also have the chance to develop business opportunities, work on pitches as well as cross-selling other areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a technical Project Management background with ideally some post-qualification experience or in the process of achieving. Both MRICS and APM will be considered combined with relevant experience.

As expected of a modern team you would be provided with the latest IT equipment, remote working capability and continued innovation of new products and software to increase our service and productivity. More significantly, we are pioneering the use of AI and cutting-edge digital tools to enhance project delivery, positioning our South West practice at the forefront of innovation in the sector.

What this job involves

  • Undertake delivery of projects and supporting Associates and Directors on larger projects
  • Assisting in the selection, appointment and management of design teams in the delivery of projects
  • Administer building contracts, ensuring the compliance of contractors to the contract terms and conditions
  • Assist with the compilation of tender documents and critical review of tender returns, contract negotiations, client reporting
  • Develop project documentation, fee schedules, programmes, risk registers and master budget
  • Preparing Programmes and analysing programmes in MS Project
  • Produce client reports to suit all stages of the projects
  • Manage client relationships throughout the RIBA Stages
  • Interpretation of contract design and implementation of change management, resolution of contractual disputes, implementation of project controls, contract correspondence and close out of contracts
  • Business Development both internally and externally

Sound like you?

To apply you need to be / have:

  • Ideally MRICS or similarly related Project Management qualification or training
  • A strong background in the delivery of project management of refurbishment / fitout and new build projects
  • Experience of delivering projects for a variety of clients and exposure to project management for large, complex schemes ranging from £2m to £50m+
  • A track record in delivering high quality project management services from inception to completion
  • Enthusiastic proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal, numerical and report/proposal writing skills
  • Excellent time management and general organisational skills
  • Flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project and Outlook, along with comfort in adopting new digital platforms and AI tools
  • Must be well presented and have excellent communication skills
  • Willing to become part of a dynamic and supportive project management team
  • Recognise the opportunities presented by working with many specialist property consultancy colleagues to identify new opportunities and secure profitable work
