Role Description
Join Arcadis as a Cost & Commercial Manager and lead the delivery of impactful cost management services across healthcare, education, and laboratory projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a team to deliver sustainable and efficient project outcomes
- Liaising with external contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders
- Ensuring projects align with Arcadis controls and best practices, particularly in the healthcare sector
- Drawing on your technical expertise to guide project delivery
Key Responsibilities
Project & Team Leadership
- Oversee cost management for small and medium projects in healthcare, education, and laboratory sectors
- Collaborate with external contractors and consultants, and provide reporting to clients and stakeholders -Lead and develop team members, sharing healthcare sector knowledge -Escalate project risks or issues for timely resolution

Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage budgets and financial reporting for health sector projects
- Provide specialist advice on risk management, compliance, and sector regulations
- Support commercial decision-making through data analysis (e.g., cost benchmarking, value engineering)
Innovation & Impact
- Drive process improvements and service innovation in healthcare environments
- Collaborate across the organisation to meet project and client needs
- Align projects with Arcadis’ sustainability goals to deliver long-term value
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical & Sector-Specific Experience
- Health sector experience (desirable), ideally within ProCure 22/ProCure 23 or similar capital works frameworks
- Strong healthcare project oversight, including from inception to completion
- Specialist knowledge of capital programme delivery in public sector, ideally with NHS or similar
Professional Competencies
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Project management experience with a focus on financial controls, tendering, and procurement -/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering-based or commercial discipline/
- Chartered status or professional qualification (e.g., CIOB, ICE, MRICS)
- CSCS Card Holder (preferred for site-based liaisons)
