Senior Project Manager – Process Automation (UK & Europe)

Mission
As a Senior Project Manager within Schneider Electric’s Process Automation business, you will drive the successful delivery of high-value, large-scale industrial automation projects across the UK and Europe. You will take full ownership from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands strong relationships with strategic clients and leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex, high-risk environments.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end project ownership of complex, multi-billion-pound automation projects, covering:
- Scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality management
- Delivery of solutions involving DCS, SCADA, PLC, Safety, Cyber Security, and Digital Systems
- Leadership of cross-functional internal teams and external subcontractors
- Primary interface with key clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Governance and reporting across two major concurrent projects, tracking performance and risks
- Project management in Greenfield and Brownfield environments
Skills & Attributes
Essential
- Strong industrial project management expertise in automation and control systems
- Proven track record delivering DCS, SCADA, PLC, and Safety projects in high-stake environments
- Confident leadership of multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- Commercial and financial acumen, including cost control, forecasting, and risk management
- Ownership mindset with high accountability and decision-making capability
- Detail-oriented, structured, and quality-driven working style
- Resilience and adaptability in complex, high-risk project environments
- Customer-focused with relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (~10%)

Preferred
- Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
