Senior Project Manager
# Project Manager – Buildings & Place Project & Programme Management (Yorkshire Region)

Your Role
- Deliver high-quality project management services with client-facing responsibilities, including occasional co-location (1-2 days per week) to build relationships.
- Lead end-to-end construction project management through design, delivery, and handover, applying best-practice methodologies.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, reflecting AtkinsRéalis values.
- Act as the primary client contact, aligning service delivery to excel in collaboration.
- Ensure the financial success of projects under your oversight, managing accounts, governance, and resource allocation.
- Uphold compliance with AtkinsRéalis policies, toolkits, and industry standards.
- Mentor junior colleagues, support knowledge-sharing, and guide professional growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, evaluate market trends, and contribute to bid proposals and fee estimates.
- Assist senior managers on complex, large-scale projects.

About You
Qualifications & Licences
- A degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related field, with preferably postgraduate experience.
- Chartered status (or pursuing candidacy) with a recognised institution:
- MRICS (Chartered Surveyor)
- CIOB (AACE)
- MAPM (Associate PM/APM/MAPM)
- A current UK driving licence.
Experience & Competencies
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
- Track record of crafting long-term client relationships and industry networks.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and guiding projects to success using a structured methodology.
- Strong government sector insight, particularly in education, residential/commercial, and public-private partnerships.
- Technical expertise in project management, understanding local regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in UK Building Contracts (NEC, JCT variants) and advising procurement routes.
- Health & Safety understanding and Environmental awareness within the construction industry.
