Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure (AMP8)

Location: Kingston Bagpuize, Oxfordshire

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team, leading the delivery of a flagship £30m wastewater treatment works for Thames Water as part of the AMP8 programme in the Thames Valley.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, this role will ensure the safe, efficient and successful delivery of the project from construction through to commissioning and handover. While experience in the water sector is welcome, it is not essential. We invite applications from Senior Project Managers specialising in major infrastructure or civil engineering, with support for career transition into the water sector available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary project team, driving excellence in:
    • Safety, quality and programme performance
    • Client satisfaction from start to finish
  • Take full strategic accountability for safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of a £30m+ infrastructure project
  • Build and sustain strong client, supply chain and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear leadership and communication
  • Manage commercial performance, project risk and programme delivery, identifying opportunities for:
    • Efficiency improvements
    • Innovation
    • Sustainable outcomes
  • Champion continuous improvement by promoting:
    • Digital construction tools
    • Modern methods of construction
  • Develop and mentor high-performing project teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering multimillion-pound infrastructure projects (≥£20m+)
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to:
    • Drive commercial and financial performance
    • Motivate and coach high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated client and stakeholder management in large-scale projects
  • Valid SMSTS certificate and appropriate CSCS card
  • HNC (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline (Professional qualification such as CIOB recommended but not mandatory)
