Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager: Programme & Project Management (PPM) Team

Join Arup

Arup’s purpose, our shared values, and collaborative approach have driven us for over 80 years, enabling us to shape a better world with our diverse and unified teams.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to contribute to our expanding Programme & Project Management (PPM) team in London. You’ll be part of a dynamic team advising across our markets and clients, with an initial priority on delivering major complex building projects, including:

  • Life sciences (scientific research laboratories)
  • Higher education
  • Healthcare
  • Technology & commercial property

UK Government Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain it is required due to project sensitivities in scientific sectors.

At Arup, belonging, growth, and impact are at the heart of how we operate. We foster individuality, connect diverse perspectives, and inspire socially meaningful work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-sector building projects, particularly in complex sciences, education, healthcare, and commercial environments.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary design and contractor teams across the project lifecycle to ensure optimum performance.
  • Lead stakeholder and contractor engagement, administer commercial contracts, and seize opportunities for client relationship growth.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and reputational risks effectively.
  • Facilitate project governance, business case development, and gateway review processes.
  • Drive alignment with strategic objectives and proactive programme delivery across markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
