Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager (Fixed-Term Contract) – 12 Months

About the Role
CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) to lead large-scale, multi-stream business change initiatives from inception to successful delivery. This is a high-impact role that requires collaboration across business and technology teams to drive strategic transformation in a dynamic, regulated fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects spanning technology, operations, compliance, risk, finance, and front-office teams, ensuring alignment and on-time delivery.
- Own the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and mobilisation through to closure and benefits realised.
- Develop and maintain:
- Robust project plans
- Governance frameworks
- RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs
- High-quality reporting packs for Steering Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Continuously reassess delivery plans to align with evolving business objectives, balancing multiple conflicting demands while maintaining strategic priorities.
- Provide clear impact assessments and options analysis when reprioritisation is required, supporting data-driven decision-making through structured evaluations of risk, cost, and benefit.
- Partner with business leaders to define target operating models, driving:
- Organisational readiness
- Process redesign
- Behavioural change (where applicable).
- Support crossfunctional resource planning, balancing demand across business and technology workstreams.
- Engage confidently with all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership, delivering clear, concise, and influential communication.

Essential Qualifications & Experiences
- Proven record as a Project Manager delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects within regulated financial services environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with:
- Sound judgement
- Strong prioritisation skills
- High attention to detail
- Strategic perspective.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to operate autonomously, taking ownership and driving outcomes with pace and precision.
- Experience as a:
- Project Manager
- Delivery Manager
- Change Manager.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and governance best practices.
