About Renishaw and the Role
At Renishaw, we are leaders in delivering high-accuracy metrology solutions for industrial, medical, and scientific processes globally. Our Laser Calibration Products set industry benchmarks for precision in applications ranging from CNC machining to semiconductor manufacturing.
The Laser Calibration Products Division (LCPD) combines engineers, scientists, and technicians to innovate market-leading products. In partnership with our manufacturing teams, we develop processes and software, ensuring our precision products perform reliably at sub-micron levels for global customers.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design teams within LCPD. Your role will involve managing product development projects through the full project lifecycle, coordinating design changes, and ensuring timely delivery. You will report progress to stakeholders at all levels while adhering to Renishaw’s design and development processes.

Responsibilities
- Manage multi-disciplinary projects, from planning to market delivery, optimising resources and processes.
- Oversee project cost and resource forecasting.
- Coordinate design change processes, ensuring alignment with engineering change procedures and manufacturing teams.
- Lead the development of custom solutions for key customers, from requirements collection to production, meeting specifications and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain accurate project documentation and plans, compliant with legal and company standards.
- Provide regular project status and risk updates to stakeholders through reports, discussions, and presentations.
- Actively support technical problem-solving during project execution.
Key Requirements
- Degree/HND in engineering or scientific discipline (or proven equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of project planning and risk management techniques.
- Technical awareness of design functions and engineering change processes.
- Prior experience in project/risk management, ideally in a complex engineering environment.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.

Desirable Requirements
- Understanding of metrology and optical measurement technology.
- Experience with Design/Process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and risk management.
- APMP (Association for Project Management Professional) or PMQ (Project Management Qualification).
- Experience with configuration management systems (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian tools, SharePoint).
