About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is a client-side role responsible for delivering a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects across the LabTech London estate. Working closely with the Development & Design Director, this role provides the opportunity to take ownership of projects ranging from retail and office fit-outs through to longer-term development initiatives requiring design coordination, planning applications and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of client-side projects across the LabTech estate, from concept through to completion and handover.
- Deliver projects ranging from retail and office fit-outs to longer-term development initiatives, ensuring they are managed effectively against agreed scope, programme, budget, quality and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the Development & Design Director to support strategic projects, including coordinating design teams, managing design meetings and ensuring actions and decisions are progressed.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, including architects, planning consultants, engineers and specialist advisers, ensuring effective collaboration and timely delivery.
- Support and manage the planning application process, coordinating inputs, tracking progress and working with consultants and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, reporting, risk management and project documentation to provide clear oversight of delivery.
- Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, proactively identifying solutions and escalating where appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, senior stakeholders, consultants, contractors and suppliers to support successful project outcomes.
- Support procurement activities and manage external consultants and contractors to ensure delivery meets agreed expectations, quality standards and commercial objectives.
- Work collaboratively across the business, adapting to changing priorities and contributing wherever required to achieve shared goals.
- Support project handover and transition into business-as-usual operations, ensuring successful completion and continuity.

Qualifications
- Proven experience operating in a Senior Project Manager role.
- Experience delivering commercial property, retail, office fit-out or development projects.
- Working knowledge of recognised project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM or equivalent).
- Competence using project management tools and systems.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and commercial management principles.
Required Skills
- Proven experience successfully delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across a broad spectrum of scale and complexity, from smaller retail and office fit-outs through to larger development initiatives, within a client-side, consultancy, property, construction or related delivery environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain momentum and deliver against competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
- Experience managing project programmes, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, cost tracking and commercial decision-making.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants and third-party suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Ability to manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design coordination through to delivery and handover.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to overcoming delivery challenges.
- Understanding of project governance, reporting and structured project delivery processes.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, use sound judgement and know when to seek input or escalate issues appropriately.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve quickly, with a collaborative, low-ego approach and a willingness to support the wider team and contribute wherever required to achieve shared objectives.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a client-side environment managing consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Experience supporting planning applications and coordinating design teams.
- Understanding of design development, construction and refurbishment processes.
- Exposure to change delivery, business improvement or transformation projects.
