Senior Project Manager

The Role

This is a pivotal appointment for a Senior Project Manager looking to play a leading role in the continued growth of our client's projects in the Brighton area. You will be the technical anchor for significant developments, with a specific focus on Mixed Use, Residential, Commercial Schemes. Our client is a Construction Consultancy organisation so they are seeking someone with this background.

Our client offers a collaborative, high-momentum environment. They are seeking a confident leader who can operate as a visible, reliable point of contact for clients, managing both complex project delivery and the strategic development of the local team.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager - Brighton

  • Project Leadership: Own the full project life-cycle, ensuring compliance with time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison, driving repeat business through strong relationships and local market knowledge.
  • Commercial & Contractual Management: Provide technical contractual management across pre- and post-contract construction stages; manage complex contracts, including NEC, JCT, and ICC.
  • Risk & Control: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks; manage budgets, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Team Development: Support the Project Management Partner by mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative office culture.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive professional who possesses the following:

  • Sector Specialism: Strong, demonstrable experience within the healthcare sector working on hospital projects
  • Professional Background: Proven experience in a construction consultancy or client-side construction project management environment.
  • Technical Qualifications: Ideally will hold a professional qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM, or equivalent). A degree qualification in a Construction related discipline
  • Skills: Expert in managing multiple stakeholders and high-level project teams. Proficiency in scheduling tools (Asta Power Project / MS Project) is highly advantageous.

Salary & Rewards Package

  • Salary: Competitive, £50,000 – £65,000 (D.O.E.)
