The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their team of staff.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • Lead and coordinate projects from concept development through to implementation, commissioning, go-live and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Projects currently are to include:
    • Clinical Service Development Programmes
    • Heart and Lung Centre development and implementation.
    • PET-CT service commissioning and delivery.
    • Mammography service relocation and relaunch.
    • DEXA service installation and implementation.
    • Aquablation service commissioning and operational launch.
    • HOLEP service commissioning and operational launch.
    • Self-Pay Hub development and launch.
    • North West Referral Hub development and launch, including:
      • ASA3 pathways
      • Lung Physiology
      • DEXA
      • CPET
      • Specialist Cardiology Diagnostics
    • Capital Infrastructure Projects
      • Theatre refurbishment programme in partnership with the Property Team.
      • Cardiac Catheter Laboratory replacement programme.
      • MRI Modular installation project.
      • CT replacement programme.
      • Da Vinci Robotics expansion programme.
  • Establish clear governance arrangements for all assigned projects.
  • Chair project meetings and steering groups as required.
  • Ensure effective communication between clinical, operational, commercial and corporate teams.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, property teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, action logs and benefit realization plans.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Significant project and programme management experience within healthcare settings.
  • Proven experience leading complex service development, transformation and capital programmes.
  • Demonstrable success managing multiple concurrent strategic projects and programmes.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with Executive Teams, NHS stakeholders and healthcare partners.
  • Experience working with NHS organisations, Commissioners, Trusts, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) or Integrated Care Systems (ICSs).
  • Extensive programme governance, risk management and benefits realisation experience.
  • Experience developing business cases, investment appraisals and strategic programme documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of healthcare service development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and executive reporting skills.
  • Highly developed organisational, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and project management software skills.
