Senior Project Manager – Insurance Change

Speciality Insurance
£70,000 - £75,000 + 20% Bonus + Exceptional Benefits
Leeds - Hybrid

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading, prestigious, specialist insurer’s UK Business Change team, supporting the delivery of complex strategic projects across the organisation.

This is a key role working with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and third-party system providers to deliver projects from initial planning through to implementation and review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading large, complex projects within the UK portfolio
  • Creating and managing full lifecycle project plans using MS Project
  • Chairing Project Working Groups and SteerCo meetings
  • Coordinating multiple workstreams, dependencies and resources
  • Managing project risks, issues, budgets and third-party suppliers
  • Providing clear progress reports to sponsors and senior stakeholders
  • Leading business-readiness, communication and implementation planning
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality

Requirements:

  • A strong track record of delivering complex projects within insurance or financial services
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and senior internal stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of waterfall project delivery and MS Project
  • Prince2 Practitioner and/or Agile experience
  • Strong change management and business-improvement expertise
  • Experience leading workshops, SteerCos and working groups
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
  • Strong budget management and end-to-end business-readiness experience
