About The Role
Help shape one of the most ambitious museum transformation programmes. As a Project Manager within the Natural History Museum’s £202m NHM Unlocked Programme, you will lead major collection move projects that will relocate and protect millions of invaluable specimens and archive items as part of the creation of a new science and digitisation centre at Thames Valley Science Park. Working at the heart of a once-in-a-century opportunity, you will coordinate complex logistics, build and lead specialist teams, influence the design of future collection storage facilities, and collaborate with scientists, collection experts, contractors and senior stakeholders. This is a unique chance to combine project leadership with scientific and cultural heritage impact, helping secure the future of one of the world's most important natural history collections.

About You
We are seeking an experienced project management professional with a strong track record of delivering complex projects in a museum, heritage, collections, or similarly complex operational environment. The successful candidate will combine excellent organisational, leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate multiple interdependent workstreams, manage budgets and contracts, and lead diverse teams through change. A confident communicator, they will be skilled in producing high-quality reports and presentations for a range of audiences, using data and insight to support decision-making. Experience of collections management and large-scale move projects would be highly desirable, alongside a recognised project management qualification.

Hybrid working

We also recognise the benefits and flexibility that hybrid working brings. We operate a hybrid working model that requires regular, weekly attendance for this role, with the precise pattern of days on site and worked from home to be agreed with your manager.
