About The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our PMO, working across a portfolio of digital transformation engagements, including:
- Enterprise DXP programmes
- CMS migrations
- Ongoing optimisation retainers
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of projects from pre-sale planning to close-down
- Collaborate with Account Directors, Product Owners, and Technical Leads to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-standard delivery
- Report directly to the Head of Project Management and contribute to weekly PMO discussions to shape delivery improvements
- Hybrid role (base: Liverpool City Centre)—minimum one in-office day per week, with flexibility for remote work

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across digital engagements, managing scope, budget, timeline, risk, and quality
- Set up and maintain project tooling, including:
- Jira (custom workflows, JQL, epics, dashboards, sprint configurations)
- Project RAID logs, Finance Reports, Work in Progress (WIP) tracking
- Chair key meetings:
- Internal and client kick-off & planning sessions
- Weekly client calls, sprint ceremonies, and release meetings
- Proactively manage project financials, including:
- Tracking actuals vs. planned expenditure
- Producing variance reports and flagging commercial risks
- Build and maintain C-level client relationships, acting as the primary escalation point for complex queries
- Support pre-sale activity, including:
- Proposal & Statement of Work (SoW) creation
- Planning support and quote preparation
- Ensure project compliance via RAID log reviews and documentation quality governance
- Articulate the value of Mando Group’s services using technology & digital expertise to inform advisory conversations
Essential Skills
Core Skills
- Strong client-facing communication, including influencing, crisis management, and stakeholder management at all levels
- Data-driven decision-making, using risk analysis, variance data, and analytical thinking
- Commercial awareness (profit, margin, Earned Value Assessment (EAC), T&M vs. fixed resource models)
- Cross-functional collaboration—facilitating delivery across development, test, UX, and product teams
- Calm under pressure—maintaining composure during critical project phases without compromising quality

Technical Skills
- Advanced Jira: Custom workflows, JQL, epics, story mapping, dashboards, sprint management
- Advanced Tempo: Time tracking, billable hours, approval processes, capacity analysis
- Advanced Confluence: Permissions, space organisation, template governance, Jira integration
- Intermediate/Advanced Office 365: Excel (financial modelling, data analysis), Word, PowerPoint, MS Project (Gantt planning)
- Agile & Waterfall delivery methodologies—ability to manage multiple projects/budgets concurrently
Qualifications & Certifications
- PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management qualification
Bonus Skills
- Experience with DXP platforms (e.g., Optimizely)
- Familiarity with Tempo Planner for resource management
- Contribution to PMO process/templates/methodology development
- AI literacy (comfort with tools like Claude for productivity & quality improvements)
