Client: Our Client – A Global Leader in Sports Entertainment Location: London (Hybrid with significant on-site presence) Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract / Day Rate Contract Initial Duration: 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension throughout the headquarters design and technology implementation programme


The Opportunity

A global leader in sports entertainment is constructing a state-of-the-art headquarters in London. This facility represents a landmark project, featuring:

Seeking an experienced Senior Technology Project Manager to lead the Global Enterprise Infrastructure team during the design, construction, and technology fit-out phases—a strategic leadership role, not a technical position.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Represent technology interests between the business, architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Ensure infrastructure requirements are embedded in the building from design inception.
  • Demonstrate executive presence, stakeholder management expertise, and enough technical awareness to guide risk mitigation, dependency resolution, and coordination of specialist engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technology representation across design, construction, and technology integration phases.
  • Serve as the technology lead in interactions with architects, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive-level programme reports, dashboards, and steering committee updates.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and propose mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate multiple technical workstreams while aligning with construction milestones.
  • Bridge global infrastructure, security, and workplace technology teams.
  • Review design changes and assess technological impacts.
  • Enforce technology standards/architecture within the building design.
  • Support budgeting, scheduling, governance, and internal SME alignment.

Technology Awareness

While technical expertise is not required, the successful candidate must demonstrate a broad understanding of:

  • Building technology, structured cabling, low-voltage/fibre infrastructure
  • Enterprise networking (including Arista/SMPTE 2110 awareness)
  • Physical security and access control
  • Cybersecurity, identity management, security platforms
  • Data centre power/cooling
  • Compute/storage/hybrid infrastructure (Nutanix, Dell; cloud platforms)
  • AWS and cloud services
  • Collaboration/end-user technologies
  • Advanced audio-visual/room solutions
  • WAN technologies (Cloudflare, Akamai).

Required Experience

  • Senior Project Management experience across large-scale enterprise tech programmes.
  • Hands-on experience with major construction, headquarters relocations, or corporate fit-out projects.
  • Confident in executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong governance, reporting, budgeting & risk management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate technical teams & external partners.
  • Proven communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preference for experience in global enterprises, media, entertainment, sports, or financial sectors.
