About The Role
Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a xxxxxxxx to join our team on the Highways A57 Mottram Moor Link Road Scheme, this role will be based within the Manchester / Longdendale area
Balfour Beatty Highways maintain, manage, and operate major highway networks across the UK and support local authorities creating communities where people want to live work and play.
We provide high quality asset strategy, management, and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers. We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable, and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What you'll be doing
- To lead the successful delivery of the Earthworks and Pavements works packages, with overall accountability for their safety, quality, programme and commercial performance, whilst ensuring effective integration and coordination with Structures and other interfacing disciplines throughout the project lifecycle from planning and design through to completion and handover.
- To act as a visible leader, providing direction, management and inspiration to a multidisciplinary delivery team, fostering collaboration across Earthworks, Pavements, Structures and supporting functions to achieve common project objectives.
- To determine and implement the most effective delivery strategies to satisfy customer and project requirements, balancing the constraints of time, cost, quality, scope and risk, whilst optimising value, constructability and operational outcomes across Earthworks, Pavements and associated Structures works.
Financial: Responsible for the successful delivery and commercial performance of the multi-million pound Earthworks and Pavements subcontract packages

Organisational: Direct reports could include; Agents, Engineers, Construction Managers, Design Managers and Functional Leads
Who we're looking for
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
- Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering major highways and infrastructure projects for Tier 1 contractors, including the management of high-value subcontract packages and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- A hands-on and visible leader who is comfortable spending significant time in the field, engaging directly with operational teams, supply chain partners and stakeholders to drive safe and efficient delivery.
- Strong experience in implementing and assuring safe systems of work, with an uncompromising commitment to Zero Harm and behavioural safety.
- Good working knowledge of NEC contracts and other standard forms of construction contract, with experience of their practical application during project delivery.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance safety, programme, quality and cost whilst maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient in project and commercial communications, capable of presenting complex issues clearly to clients, senior leadership teams and delivery partners.
