Project Manager – Reinsurance/Pensions - London - Hybrid

Our client are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic change function, leading the successful delivery of business and operational transformation initiatives within a regulated financial services environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on managing complex projects, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and driving meaningful change across business operations and technology. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle while working closely with both internal teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple business change and operational transformation projects.
  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and success measures.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements are effectively managed.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, project sponsors, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Provide regular project governance updates, status reporting, and progress reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring accountability and successful delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement across project delivery practices and governance frameworks.

What they're looking For

We're interested in hearing from experienced Project Managers who have successfully delivered complex change initiatives within regulated industries, particularly financial services.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end business change or operational transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams alongside external suppliers or service providers.
  • Knowledge of project governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and resource management.
  • Experience working within regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, pensions, banking, or wealth management.
  • A recognised project management qualification (such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering projects involving customer operations or business process transformation.
  • Exposure to pensions, insurance, or financial operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven change programmes.
  • Understanding of finance or operational business models.
